About

Equipment for Heavy-Duty Applications

The firefighting boom is a high-tech system designed to deliver extinguishing agents to high altitudes and hard-to-reach areas. The equipment operates within a wide ambient temperature range from –45 °C to +40 °C and withstands precipitation and wind loads. This system ensures fast and precise foam delivery to critical areas, maximizing firefighting efficiency under all operating conditions.

Operation and Safety

The equipment features advanced control systems that provide precise monitoring of all boom movements and positioning. Integrated safety systems prevent collisions, monitor outrigger placement, and adjust operations based on real-time loads to minimize operational risks. Wireless control capability improves operator mobility and ergonomics.

Versatility and Adaptability

The firefighting boom adapts to various operational requirements through rapid repositioning, automatic outrigger deployment, and integration with auxiliary connected equipment. These features enable operations in both open areas and confined spaces, ensuring high versatility and rapid deployment.

4. Additional Requirements

  • All electrical equipment complies with protection class IP56.
  • All materials are resistant to operating temperature conditions (–45 °C to +40 °C).
  • Coating: the coating system and color shall be agreed with the Customer.
  • Hydraulic system working fluid — AUP.
  • Working fluid cleanliness class according to GOST 17216-71 — min. class 12.

Functional and technical features of the firefighting boom:

  • Boom tip speed automatically decelerates when approaching the limits of the safe working area or the end positions of the actuators.
  • Boom-tip mounted sensors provide acoustic and visual alarms to the operator upon dangerous approach to obstacles during maneuvering.
  • Control and monitoring of the boom position and main structural components are performed via the control panel.
  • The firefighting boom is equipped with main and auxiliary control panels.

The backup control panel is located on the slewing structure, at the operator platform.

The main wireless control panel can be located in the vehicle cabin or the rear compartment, with a capability to operate at a distance of at least 50 m from the vehicle.

The remote panel is of a combined type, supporting signal transmission via both hardwired cable and wireless control.

The main control panel includes a monitoring display indicating key operating parameters of the system and fault diagnostics.

The control system features an interlocking function that prevents simultaneous control from the main and auxiliary panels.

Control panel actuators enable simultaneous execution of two boom maneuvers.
