Operating conditions:
The scrap handler operates reliably under the following conditions:
The scrap conveyor unloading machine is designed to remove scrap from the conveyor and place it onto a pallet. The scrap conveyor unloading control system (scrap handler) is designed to unload scrap arriving from the scrap conveyor onto pallets, with a maximum capacity of 30 pieces per pallet. Two operating modes are provided: manual and automatic.

Scrap Handlers in Modern Production Lines
The advancement of industrial automation has driven the development of equipment specialized in handling auxiliary yet critical operations. One such solution is the scrap handler—a machine engineered for the organized handling of scrap generated during the production process. Implementing this equipment structures scrap unloading and stacking operations, integrating them directly into the plant’s overall process logic.
Scrap Handling Workflow
In traditional manufacturing setups, scrap is often managed as a secondary element of the process. However, its transfer and placement directly impact workspace organization and production line cycle times. The scrap handler addresses this challenge through an automated approach to unloading and stacking.
The equipment ensures continuous scrap transfer from the conveyor system to pallets, establishing a neat and repeatable stacking pattern. This workflow simplifies downstream operations and reduces reliance on manual labor.
Role of Automation in the Production Process
Automating scrap handling operations enables seamless synchronization with the core stages of production. The scrap handler functions as an interface between material transfer and intra-plant logistics, maintaining the overall cycle time of the production line.
The availability of multiple control modes allows the equipment to adapt to various operational scenarios, ranging from fully automated lines to sections requiring operator intervention.
Impact on Intra-Plant Logistics
Efficiently structured scrap stacking simplifies pallet handling and downstream processing. This is critical for high-volume manufacturing facilities, where predictability and sequence in all material flows are essential.
The scrap handler integrates into the intra-plant logistics network, optimizing workspace organization and reducing operator workload.
Equipment Development Approach
Izhora Hydrosystems LLC designs and manufactures scrap handlers engineered for the operational requirements of industrial facilities. The company focuses on the practical application of the equipment and its integration into existing process flows. This approach delivers solutions that function as an inherent part of the production system rather than an isolated component.
The Scrap Handler as a Component of the Industrial Ecosystem
Modern manufacturing demands integrated, end-to-end solutions. In this context, the scrap handler serves as a functional asset that complements conveyor systems and maintains overall process consistency.
The implementation of this equipment reflects a commitment to systematic control, predictability, and the optimization of internal material flows.

The system serves to remove scrap from the conveyor and stack it onto a pallet positioned on the turn table.
Scrap removal is executed by means of guide catchers mounted on the manipulator.
Following scrap removal, the manipulator lowers to a horizontal position, after which the platform extends and unloads the scrap onto the pallet.
Subsequently, the platform and manipulator return to the initial position. All movements are driven by hydraulic actuators.

The system features three control modes: automatic, semi-automatic, and manual.
Switching between modes is performed via the “manual/semi-auto/auto” selector switch.
The selected mode is displayed in the upper left corner of the operator panel.
The system awaits activation of the “START” button, which initiates the following cycle:
Activating the “PAUSE/STOP” button resets the cycle and stops all mechanism movements.
Recommended scrap palletizing pattern:
The system awaits activation of the “START” button, which initiates the following cycle:
Activating the “PAUSE/STOP” button resets the cycle. The current scrap layer must be completed manually before unloading can resume.
