Hydraulic watertight closure, clear opening 16x10m (Technical supply specification)

1. General Data (Operating Conditions)

The watertight closure is designed for reliable marine operation under the following conditions:

  • Design ambient temperature: +45°C with 80% humidity in summer; -40°C with 85% humidity in winter.
  • Maximum wind speed: 25 m/s.
  • Exposure to onboard vibration.
  • Intermittent sea water splashing on components.
  • Sea water temperature: from -2°C to +32°C.

2. Purpose

The watertight closure provides tight sealing for boathouses. The sealing system protects the hangar from water ingress, dust, and debris. Sealing integrity is maintained at static heel angles up to 20° port/starboard and trim angles up to 10° bow/stern at minimum vessel draft.

About

Innovative Hangar Protection

Modern marine and offshore structures require reliable protection against environmental impact. The watertight closure is a critical safety element that ensures tight sealing and protection against water spray, dust, and atmospheric factors. These systems maintain dry and protected internal spaces even in harsh marine environments, increasing the durability of structures and equipment.

Operating Principles of Hydraulic Systems

Hydraulic closure mechanisms provide smooth and precise movement of the panels. System operation is based on the synchronous motion of hydraulic cylinders, which ensures uniform load distribution and minimizes component wear. This provides safe and efficient operation, reduces structural loads, and ensures reliable performance throughout the entire service life.

Reliability and Durability

High-grade materials and advanced manufacturing technologies enable the closures to operate under high humidity, wind loads, and marine vibration. Izhora Hydrosystems LLC designs these systems for long-term operation, protecting internal spaces and equipment from adverse environments. This significantly reduces maintenance costs and prevents premature structural wear.

Integration with Vessel Systems

Modern watertight closures integrate with vessel control systems to provide centralized monitoring and emergency control capability. This ensures safe and predictable operation, with simple and efficient interfacing with other onboard systems. This approach increases crew efficiency and enables rapid access to life-saving and auxiliary systems.

Environmental and Operational Safety

The closure design incorporates environmental safety requirements and environmental protection standards. All applied materials and systems ensure minimal environmental impact and comply with current regulations. Proper operation and maintenance guarantee equipment reliability and stable performance under all conditions.
