1. General Information (Operating Conditions)

Design ambient air temperature:

+30 °C at 65% humidity in summer and −25 °C at 85% humidity in winter.

Water temperature: from +25 °C to −2 °C respectively.


2. Purpose

The bow shell door is designed for installation in the forward part of the vessel.

It ensures watertight closure of the hull opening and protects internal spaces from seawater ingress.

4. Additional Requirements

  • Coaming edges at the bottom of the bow shell door are rounded to prevent abrasion of the pilot ladder.
  • Each bow shell door is wrapped in a non-woven soft sheet material and packed into a wooden crate.
  • Final dimensions of the bow shell door and coaming may vary from the specified values by ±2 mm.
  • Control is executed via hydraulic actuation with manual override capability.
