4. Additional Requirements

  • Ingress protection for open deck electrical equipment: IP56; indoor equipment: min. IP22 according to GOST 14254-2015.
  • The crane is supplied with a boom rest (bracket) for stowed position, mounted on the crane pedestal.
  • The folding boom crane is capable of operating as a launch and recovery system (LARS) for towing outboard research equipment at maximum outreach with a horizontal towing force of min. 50 kN perpendicular to the boom.
  • For towing operations, a pad eye with a safe working load (SWL) of approx. 120 kN is provided on the crane boom for snatch block attachment.
  • Access is provided for the maintenance of cable-wire sheaves.
  • The design enables cable-wire routing through the sheaves without removing the cable connector.
  • The crane can be powered by the vessel hydraulic system with an operating pressure of 250 bar and a rated flow of max. 500 l/min.
  • The crane control system provides stepless speed control for all crane motions from zero to maximum, as well as simultaneous motion capability (with a proportional reduction in maximum speeds).
  • Crane operation is performed via a backpack-type portable remote control unit or from the research operations workstation.
  • All crane control interfaces feature labels in Russian and symbols clearly defining their function.
  • The control system includes an interlock function to prevent simultaneous operation from the workstation and the portable remote control unit.
