1. General Data (Operating Conditions)

The stiff boom crane ensures reliable marine operation under the following conditions:

  • Design ambient temperature: +45°C with 60% humidity in summer; -40°C with wind speeds up to 25 m/s in winter (design temperature for structural steelwork is -40°C).
  • Seawater temperature range: from +32°C to -2°C.
  • Shipborne vibration.
  • Intermittent sea spray on crane components.
  • Heel angles: up to 5° port/starboard.
  • Trim angles: up to 2° bow/stern.

2. Purpose

The equipment is designed for installation on various types of ships and vessels.

The crane is intended for lifting operations, including handling general cargo, ship stores, and provisions. Operations are permitted at static heel angles up to 5° port or starboard and trim angles up to 2° bow or stern at minimum vessel draft.

4. Additional Requirements

  • All electrical equipment features IP56 protection class.
  • All materials are selected for resistance to specified operating temperatures (-40°C to +45°C).
  • Minimum survival temperature (stowed position): -50°C.
  • Coating system: specification and color to be agreed with the Customer.
  • Preservation coatings ensure an indoor storage life of 12–18 months.
  • Hydraulic fluid: AUP.
  • Fluid cleanliness class according to GOST 17216-71: min. Class 12.
  • Power supply cables are equipped with mating connectors.
  • Equipment is delivered with RS documentation confirming capability for operation at -40°C without additional heating systems.
  • Packaging ensures safe handling via crane or forklift, suitability for road transport, and sheltered outdoor storage.
