Marine Telescopic Boom Crane, 3t Capacity (Technical supply specification)

1. General Information (Operating Conditions)

The marine telescopic boom crane ensures reliable operation under maritime conditions, including:

  • Design ambient temperature: +25 °C with 80% humidity in summer; –30 °C with wind speeds up to 25 m/s in winter (design temperature for hull structures is –40 °C), 85% humidity, and water temperatures from +32 °C to –2 °C respectively.
  • Shipborne vibration.
  • Intermittent exposure of components to sea spray.
  • Indoor equipment operation in closed spaces at ambient temperatures up to +45 °C.
  • Static heel angles up to 5° port/starboard.
  • Static trim angles up to 2° bow/stern.

2. Purpose

The marine knuckle boom crane is designed for lifting operations, including:

  • Loading and unloading of various general cargo.
  • Handling ship stores and provisions.
  • Operation under static heel conditions up to 5° (PS or SB) and trim up to 2° (bow or stern) at minimum ship draft.

About

Next-Generation Marine Lifting Equipment

The modern shipbuilding industry increasingly adopts solutions that combine compactness, functionality, and engineering precision. The marine knuckle boom crane has emerged as a key solution, transforming offshore loading and unloading operations. Its design functions not merely as a mechanism, but as an integral system component where every second of operation and every meter of deck space is critical.

Engineering Born for the Sea

No component on a marine vessel is redundant. Every piece of deck equipment must feature high durability and withstand prolonged exposure to salt water, wind, and hull vibrations. The marine knuckle boom crane is engineered for these conditions, prioritizing lifting capacity, maneuverability, and adaptability to changing storm and sea state environments. Consequently, structural solutions are designed to maintain stability under complex vessel dynamics.

Optimizing Workflow Operations

Operations that previously required a full crew and extensive preparation are now executed via minimal control inputs. The crane functions as a core component of the onboard logistics system, accelerating supply, loading, and cargo transfer processes. High positioning accuracy minimizes cargo damage risks and enhances operational safety.

Marine-Specific Manufacturing

Developing these systems requires a comprehensive understanding of marine application requirements. Izhora Hydrosystems LLC specializes in manufacturing lifting equipment that meets regulatory standards and establishes new operational approaches for marine machinery. Production involves engineering solutions optimized for long-term operation with minimal maintenance intervals, which is essential for fleets operating in remote areas.

Functionality as a Strategic Advantage

The primary value of a modern knuckle boom crane extends beyond its mechanical performance. It serves as a tool enabling the crew to operate with increased speed, precision, and safety. The equipment forms an essential part of the vessel assets, serving as a critical link in marine logistics.
