Oceanographic marine winch 15 kN

Oceanographic marine winch 15 kN
Oceanographic marine winch 15 kN

The winch is designed for operations with controlled scientific equipment, including deployment, recovery, trawling, and bidirectional telemetry (transmission and reception of control signals and data).

The unit features a cable winch drum designed for an umbilical/electro-mechanical cable, which provides power and control signals to the scientific equipment and transmits data back to the vessel. A spooling device (level wind) is available as an option.

This equipment is a primary type of marine deck machinery for scientific operations and is installed on research vessels (RV). The electric drum drive features variable frequency drive (VFD) control.

The 15 kN electric oceanographic winch is designed, manufactured, assembled, and tested in accordance with the RMRS “Rules for the Classification and Construction of Sea-Going Ships” and is supplied with an RMRS certificate.
